Toddler Virtues

Patience. Courage. Tolerance. Kindness. These are all virtues that I hope to teach my son and that he will eventually pass on to others. Monika Hall, founder of Toddler Virtue Tees has created a way for us to do just that through her educational, yet adorable shirts. These tees feature one of the four virtues: Patience, Courage, Tolerance or Kindness, with a brief description of each one. They also include the Confucius symbol representing complete harmony with oneself and neighbor. They are available in sizes 2-4, in a variety of different colors...and according to the website, a fifth virtue will be added in the Spring, as well as sizes for youth and mommies. My son received the Courage tee, which arrived in perfect condition and is super soft. Lately, he's been extremely picky about what he wears, but as soon as he spotted his new shirt he wanted to put it on. He looked happy, comfy and absolutely adorable in it!

Toddler Virtues tees are not only a great way to teach these virtues, but they also work as a means of passing these teachings on to others. In fact, the website outlines five steps you can take in order to do this: read the virtue to your toddler, define the virtue, tell a story relaying the virtue, repeat these steps each time the shirt is worn, and finally, pass it on. When your toddler is done with his or her shirt, pass it on to a friend and keep the virtue alive. You can even send your ourgrown tee back where it will be distributed to homeless shelter or soup kitchen, if you don't know anybody to pass it on to. It's the little steps like these that I love and that I know will make a big difference in the future if we all take the time to follow them.

WANT TO WIN? One winner will receive a toddler virtue tee of his or her choice! To enter, visit the website and tell me which tee you would pick if you win. Please leave your email address. Deadline to enter is Monday, February 23rd at Midnight. Winner must provide a U.S. mailing address.

I really like the courage tee, but all the t-shirts are virtues to teach kids when they are young. It really does stick with them!

My daugther would love the Patience. So would her mommy as we both need to practice patience EVERY DAY.

I think we would LOVE the "patient" T. Josie is literally just getting to that age where she needs to work on it and know that it is wonderful to be patient. The T is a perfect tool to help remind her. SKS

I like the Gratitude T......it seems like children (and adults!) forget to be thankful for what they have. Seeing this on a child, I think, goes a long way out in public.
