My husband and I have a saying "Sharing is Caring", that we use whenever we're not being generous with things such ice cream or other goodies. One of us will say that to each other and we'll both end up laughing. This message however, is at the heart of the new Care Bears DVD, Care Bears: Bear Buddies and is no laughing matter. This DVD is the real deal - it teaches kids valuable lessons about being true to themselves and each other, understanding, forgiveness, and of course sharing.
I remember watching Care Bears as a child. It was one of my favorite series and of course I had the books, plush toys and stickers to go along with it. I was sent a copy of the new DVD to review and I was so excited to share it with my two year old son, since he's slightly obsessed with bears. It includes eight never-before-released episodes from the Saturday morning CBS TV series and a little toy bear buddy! Sure enough, the day it arrived he got all excited about the bears on the cover and wanted to watch it immediately. And, uh, he's been watching it ever since. That's okay though, because he's learning important life lessons, right? You can buy your own copy of Care Bears: Bear Buddies here.

My sister watched My Little Pony. I thought care bears were the most ridiculousness creatures ever until I saw the teletubbies (or however that's spelled). of course, girls and boys see the world differently, so i guess I can see how they might be popular. Anyway, thanks for the review.
ReplyDeleteI need to remember your saying. I don't always like to share (especially if it involves icecream :)), but it is an important lesson to teach your child!

My daughters bed room is done in carebears.
ReplyDeletefor some reason my son is now really into Care Bears. I even re-found a Care Bears quilt that a co-worker had made for my baby shower when I was pregnant with him. He now has to sleep with it every night and wants to even be a Care Bear for Halloween. I have a few weeks to convince him the cowboy theme is still fine! He is slowly learning the importance of sharing and I've mentioned to him that we need to be "thoughtful of others and not just think of ourselves!".
ReplyDeleteI would love to win this for my little niece. she carries her Care Bear all over.
