Wishlist - Book Edition
Time for another wishlist! Because I've been craving more reading time lately, I'm going to list a few books that I would love to read. And since my list could probably go on forever, I've narrowed it down to three (for now.)
1. The Mysterious Benedict Society and The Perilous Journey - Trenton Lee Stewart
I read the first book in this series and was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. They say you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, but in this case I did. I walked past it at the bookstore and thought it looked interesting - quirky and whimsical, so I decided that I had to have it. It had me hooked from page one. I love the author's style and the story was so engrossing. When I found out there was a sequel, I was so excited. So yeah, basically I need this book too.
2. The Creative Family - Amanda Blake Soule
I don't remember where I heard about this book, but it looks like a good one. I'm all for discovering new ways to be creative and to use your imagination, and it seems like this book delivers. From the site: This book embraces a whole new way of living that will engage your children's imagination, celebrate their achievements, and help you to express love and gratitude for each other as a family. Her blog is also chock-full of gorgeous photos, crafty projects and words of inspiration. Apparently, she's working on a second book as well.
3.Show Me How - Lauren Smith, Derek Fagerstrom
This book shows you 500 Things You Should Know; Instructions for Life From the Everyday to the Exotic . On numerous occasions, I've said that I wished there was a guide to life book, something that would teach me step by step how to do things that everybody else knows how to do, but I don't. Simple things like how to make a bed or pack a suitcase...I always look at how other people do these things, and their methods always seem more effective than mine. This book is exactly what I've been waiting for. Complete with helpful illustrations, it will teach me how to twist balloon animals, make a perfect bed, make sushi, and even how to fight a shark. I can't wait.

Wishlist - The Baby Edition
It's been a while since I did a wishlist, so I thought I'd do another one. This one is for things I would love to get for my son:
1. Kenso toddler shoe, by See Kai Run.

How adorable is this shoe? They're great for all year round, but with Halloween coming up, the colors make me want them even more.
2.iPoo'd t-shirt from Kitsel.

This shirt is perfect, because my husband and I have an inside joke where we started calling the ipod the "ipoo'd." (I have no idea how or why that came about.) Then we saw this shirt online, and we both looked at each other and said "Gotta have that."
3.My Bag by Kushies. Don't have an image to show you, but go to the link to see it. It's the perfect overnight/travel bag for your little one, with all the separate compartments. It's so cute, I would probably even use it myself!

Wishlist - Pink Laptop

Any laptop would do, but I saw this pink Sony Vaio and I fell in love with it. I love that it's pink! It's got some pretty cool features, like a built-in web camera, CD/DVD burner and other things that I don't really need. The main thing I love about it is its sleek look and the beautiful pink color. It will probably be a long time before I get a laptop, especially this one but in the meantime I'll just keep blogging and wishing!
