As you probably know, I'm a huge fan of peanut butter. I love the comforting feeling it brings to the kitchen table and the chilhood memories associated with it. Whenever I'm feeling especially nostalgic (which is often) I always turn to Jif peanut butter. I love its simple, creamy flavor - it's just plain good!
Right now, Jif is having their seventh annual Most Creative Peanut Butter Contest. This is a unique contest for budding chefs to show off their kitchen skills and create an original recipe using Jif peanut butter. Your child could win a $25,000 scholarship fund! Who couldn't use that? Check out the rules to find out how to enter. Be sure to look at the past recipe winners too - they sound so creative and delicious, and especially impressive coming from children. I had no idea until now, that peanut butter was so versatile!
For you moms out there, there's also a contest for you. The Jif Moms Voice Their Choice Contest asks the question "How do you make the best choices for your family?" Answer this in an essay 250 words or less, and you could win a trip to New York City and a seat at the judging table of the Most Creative Peanut Butter Contest! Check out the rules here.
These contests are an awesome way to get the family together and encourage creativity. Visit the website to find out more.
WANT TO WIN? One winner will receive a Jif Peanut Butter gift pack. It includes a variety of Jif peanut butter, a t-shirt, measuring cups, and squeeze toy. To enter, check out the descriptions of the past winners' recipes at the Creative Sandwich contest page (scroll about halfway down). Tell me which recipe you think sounds the best! Deadline to enter is Monday, September 29th at Midnight. Winner must provide a U.S. mailing address.
