Sometimes a random thought will pop into my head and remain there for a number of days. These thoughts are always simple - it can be an observation, a useful tip, a feeling, an idea, a memory, or a quote I've just discovered. I usually don't do anything with these thoughts, but I don't want to forget them so I decided to create a place where I could share them. If you'd like to share your own thoughts, leave them in the comments, or email me and I may feature your thought in a future post.
Today's Thought:
Cleaning out a messy closet feels sooo good...until you realize that you actually need to do something with all the junk you cleaned out, thus creating yet another messy pile.
Oh you said it girl...isn't that the truth?? We just cleaned out our garage and then there was a huge pile of JUNK, which required yet another day to go through and figure out what was to be thrown away and what we would keep.
ReplyDeleteYou know, I'm one of those people that cannot have fun, cannot relax until all my work is done. The problem is, work around the house is NEVER done.
ReplyDeleteWhen I am coerced into having fun, I worry the entire time about how I'm getting behind on my chores. Lately though, after a whole lifetime, I've been thinking how very unimportant in the end it will be that I had a clean house.
That should help in your avoidance of cleaning out that closet!
Isn't that so true.
ReplyDeleteMy thought for this week is how much we do not appreciate the simple things like running water and electricity until we go with out for a few days.
I did the same thing with our pantry last week. Gee, some of canned stuff we had has been expired for three months or so. I told my husband to stop buying canned good that are on sale and ends up in our pantry for the next year or two or until they are expired. No savings there at all if it ends in the trash anyway.
ReplyDeleteOn the closet part, I try to keep mine as organized as possible. It's the only place in my house that keeps my sanity intact.
