SpookyFun stars Yummyclare and her kooky pals and neighbors, as she cooks up some scary recipes for a Halloween party. Her kitchen is a magical mouse hole, where things come alive and spooky fun ensues. We learn how to make Monster Head Potatoes, Spaghetti and Eyeballs, and Severed Hand Punch. Kids will get a kick out of Crespo's entertaining cooking style. The actual cooking demonstration of the dishes is pretty basic, but the DVD comes with a recipe booklet which contains more detailed directions.
The fun comes from watching Crespo in her element - this is where she truly shines. The former producer is best known for her crazy creations with cupcakes had always dreamed of doing a kid's cooking show. I believe she's found her calling. She's almost unbelievably kooky, but you know it's not an act. It's really how she is, which is wonderful. It's great to see an adult that still knows how to have fun. It definitely put on smile on my face.
SpookyFun, as well as the other titles in the series is available for purchase on Clare's website. Be sure to check it out - you can view a trailer, and it's also one of the most innovative and colorful websites I've seen in a long time.
