Just in case some of you don't know, I'm a videogame nerd. Growing up, I was the only one in the house who played them and now that I'm married, I'm still the only one who plays them. They hold no interest for my husband, but he was the one who provided me with a Nintendo Gamecube of my very own, as well as a Nintendo DS (thanks, hubby!) Whenever people come over they always assume that the videogames belong to him, and they're always incredulous when we tell them that they in fact, belong to me.
That said, ever since having a baby I really haven't had much time to play and I find myself missing it at times. My latest gadget, also courtesy of my husband is the iPod Touch. I love this thing. I just turn it on, and within seconds I can be checking my email, listening to music, organizing my calendar, or playing a game. I had the opportunity to check out the new Guinness World Records app to feed my gaming addiction. This app is for the iPhone or the iPod Touch, and features 36 game challenges as you try and set a record in your city, state, and even the world! These mini games are insanely fun - they include things such as blowing the biggest bubblegum bubble, sheering sheep, and my favorite, crushing watermelons with your head. I was actually pretty impressed with the graphics of this game. It's set in a 3D world where you run around the world and compete in the mini games. Each game earns you money, which you then use to unlock more challenges. This is the perfect "pick up and go" game, which is great for a mommy like me who just can't get involved in a complicated, story line type game right now. Whenever I have a spare moment I find myself playing Guinness World Records and remembering that videogames are all about having fun!
Guinness World Records - The Videogame is available at the iTunes store for $4.99.
Ha! I am the first person to leave a comment.
