Keep Kids Reading with Kohl's

I'm a huge fan of summer reading programs. This year I was able to sign my two year old son up for the reading program our local library, and so far we've really enjoyed reading books together. It's not that we need an excuse to read every day (we do that anyway), but a reading program is definitely a fun reason to start!

Kohl's is offering yet another reason to get kids reading this summer with their Kohl's Cares for Kids program. Kohl’s is featuring three books by award winning children's author Steve Jenkins - “Actual Size,” “Biggest, Strongest, Fastest” and Caldecott-award-winning “What Do You Do With a Tail Like This?” along with coordinating plush toys for only $5 each! My son and I had the opportunity to read Biggest, Strongest, Fastest and What Do You Do With a Tail Like This? Both books are hardcover, beautifully illustrated and are full of fun, amazing facts about different kinds of animals. The plush lizard that they sent us is also adorable and a big hit! The great thing about the Kohl's Cares for Kid's program is that 100 percent of the net profit from sales of the books and plush toys benefits children’s health and education initiatives nationwide.
