Celebrate Dr.Seuss with Kohl's

Did you know that today is Dr. Seuss' birthday? This year also happens to be the 10th anniversary of the Kohl's Care for Kids program. What better way to celebrate than with a classic Dr.Seuss book and huggable Dr.Seuss friend? This Spring, Kohl's is featuring four classic Dr.Seuss books, along with a coordinating plush toy:

The Lorax - Lorax plush
The Foot Book – Orange “Foot” Character plush
Oh, the Thinks You Can Think! – Yellow “Thinks” Character plush
If I Ran the Circus – Whale plush

The cost? Just five dollars. Kohl's is also the number one green retailer, according to Newsweek’s 2009 ranking which is pretty neat. The Lorax helps kids learn the importance of caring for the environment. All four books that are offered as part of the Kohl’s Cares for Kids program are printed on 60 percent post-consumer recycled paper. For five bucks, adults can also purchase The Green Book, a handbook on how to take steps to be more environmentally responsible. Another cool fact: 100% of the net profits from the sale of Kohl’s Cares for Kids merchandise are donated to support children’s health and education initiatives nationwide.

Anything by Dr.Seuss is fun to read, and any of these titles would be a worthy addition to your collection. And, I gotta say that the plush toys are too cute - especially the whale!

WANT TO WIN? Five winners will receive a Dr.Seuss set. To enter, leave a comment on this post prior to Tuesday, March 9th at Midnight. Tell me what your favorite Dr.Seuss book is. Please include your email address with your comment. Winners must provide a US mailing address.

  47. Oh, boy. How could I chose my favorite? I'll have to say Oh, The Places You'll Go, especially the musical version that Matt Frewer and Kathy Najimy do in the documentary In Search of Dr. Seuss. I love that film so much that I used to watch it every night before I went to bed. Atleast that made me remember all the great fun facts about the great doctor himself! I really am a Seuss freak. Quotes from him decorate my tumblr blog, my facebook and one is even inscribed on the back of my iPod. I do have two of the great Kohl plushes they made but I'd love to have more.

Please enter me in the giveaway. :)
