Stylin' with Petunia Pickle Bottom

I don't currently own a diaper bag. When my son was a baby, I used the free one that was given to me at the hospital. When that one quickly wore out, I used one that I received as a gift. Not too much later, I was given a super cute purse from my mom that just happened to have little pockets on the sides that worked perfectly for bottles and sippy cups. Two years later, I'm still using the same purse.

Right now though, I'm eyeing the limited edition Heirloom, in honor of Petunia Pickle Bottom's tenth anniversary. It's got some pretty impressive features, including the ability to wear it as a messenger bag or a backpack, built in changing station with changing pad, four bottle pockets and a Petunia Pickle Bottom monogrammed wipes case. Talk about luxury! If, and when my purse wears out, and if and when we get around to having baby number two, a diaper bag from Petunia Pickle Bottom is going on my wish list, k?

  1. I've been re-purposing large purses and bags to use as diaper bags since my sister took it upon herself to replace the boring one the hospital gives out. She's so thoughtful :) So I would looooove a Petunia Picklebottom diaper bag! Form and function and super cute to boot!!

  4. I love Petunia Pickle Bottom! I think my handbag obsession just carried over to diaper bags when I had my son 3 years ago. We still use the PPB bag that I bought then, and now that I am expecting again, I need (or want :-) a new spring one!

  5. You're brave for never having an official diaper bag! I'm a huge fan of diaper bags that wipe down easily, have a changing pad and matching wipes case. I don't have a PPB yet, but I'm sooo ready for one!

  9. Its such a great idea, a backpack diaper bag. In fact while struggling with everything I needed to carry on top of the baby up 3 flights of stairs, I said, "I should switch to a backpack!" The idea was in my head now at this point. While shopping weeks later I spotted a woman with a child wearing a "boxy" backpack. When I arrived home I googled "boxy backpack" and there she was Petunia Pickle Bottom....the perfect backpack exists! Thank you for that! I'm loving all the great patterns and fabrics, glazed Heirloom being my fav!

  11. We're expecting our first child in July! We've also just relocated from Kentucky to Florida. Needless to say we're a little overwhelmed but in a good way :o) I stumbled across Petunia Pickle Bottom and have fallen in love with everything Petunia Pickle Bottom, but we're living on a budget so splurging on a diaper bag is out of the question so I've been looking for a bag on ebay. Hopefully I can score one of these before the baby gets here. I just love that the bags can be worn as a backpack and that they are so functional.

Luckily I have three wonderful nieces and nephews thanks to my in-laws and younger siblings :D I am all about style that is chic! Maybe my first born will get the luxury of having a stylish bag... until then, Aunt Krista (me) can carry it around when the other loves of my life are staying over.

  24. I also used the free one from the hospital at first. I didn't know any better. As my baby got a little older and I put more stuff in the bag, it wore out and broke. It also became such a pain to find anything! It was like a black hole in there.

I'm now expecting my second and with 2 children under 2, I need a bag that fits my needs. Compartments! Light interior to see things! My friend owns one and I love all the features this bag has to offer.

  30. I heart PPB!!! I discovered them while diaper bag hunting when I was prego. It's the best, in my opinion out there! Then you ask, "so why dont you have one?" well, let me tell you my story... (in a peanut shell). When I found out we were having a miracle baby i ended up having complications resulting in bedrest & a job loss. Hubby was in the mtg business during the recession & lost his job also. We've been trying to recover ever since, and have been making do with diaper bags & plastic bags you get from the grocery store! lol So we havent been able to afford a fabulous PPB diaper bag. So i really really really hope I win. =)

Thanks again to mama sparkles for posting the contest!

    Sincerely,

We use cloth diapers, so we need more space than the average diaper bag, but I don't want to carry a suitcase ;) A cute diaper bag goes a long way in helping you feel "put-together" with a pile of kids in tow!

  49. I've been using the hospital diaper bag as well. I gave birth back in October to my beautiful baby girl. The experience at the hospital wasn't great. About a week after of being home I realized they had not given us their going home gift (hospital diaper bag) since I didn't have a diaper bag I went back to get it. I've been using it ever since. It is way to small. But we don't have funds for a larger bag, definitely not a Petunia. I was laid off (budget cuts) from my teaching job last year when I found out I was pregnant. I haven't been able to find another position except for subbing. I know it works out because I get to stay home with my little girl but now 50% of our income is gone. So, I'll be using my hospital diaper bag for a long time. I'm grateful to have it but it definitely is not a Petunia.

We are currently living in a very small town that is not very baby friendly with shopping. :( There are no maternity clothes stores or stores with cute options for diaper bags. The only store in otwn is a Walmart. I am currently driving over an hour to get to any store that has anything cute for a baby. I would love to check off on my list the need for a cute and beautiful diaper bag. Thanks Mama Sparkles for the opportunity!!

  96. Expecting our first child in May, I have been really desiring a PPB diaper bag, but find it difficult to spend the money - although they are beautiful! My husband catches me on the site and says, "Are you looking at PREGNANT Pickle Bottom again?" He just doesn't get it. :) ~Lori

  97. I got a handmedown PPB bag that I used while my daughter was a baby and the past 9 month with my son. I love it, but wish I could afford to get a new one! I do have a toddler bag that I got new when my daughter was younger, but I wish I had the extra money to get a new full sized diaper bag! I love PPB!

  101. I'm in ABSOLUTE LOVE WITH PETUNIA PICKLE BOTTOM!! We had the "SHOCK" of our lives finding out we were pregnant last October. I got Pregnant with an IUD! :) So this baby was meant to be here! :) My oldest daughter is 12, then another 9, and my son will be 6. So this new little girl will be very spoiled with love and attention. The other day we saw a lady with a PETUNIA PICKLE BOTTOM diaper bag. We actually stopped her and asked her what kind of bag it was. I immediately came home and started researching them, became a fan on facebook and LOVE To spot them wherever I go! We totally want one of these accomodating, spectacular bags! Thanks for the contest! Our new little addition is due to arrive in MAY!

  157. I am about to have my first baby and, among all of the decisions to make (from cribs to baths to clothes), choosing a diaper bag has been one of the most difficult! Maybe it has been, for me, a part of giving up part of who I am as a person and succumbing to this new role as "mom". Now decisions take on a whole other meaning. It's more about what is going to make sense now and for a long while as opposed to what is going to make me happy right here, right now. It seems that is what is so great about the Petunia Pickle Bottom bags. They allow a mom to take on her new role as a caregiver, lugging diapers, bottles, and whatnot without her having to give up who she is-still a fun-loving fashionista who values looking good and who hasn't sacrificed confidence in her new role. This is especially the case for the heirloom bag. Not only is it great looking and durable, but it's also stylishly timeless and will work again for babies 2, 3, etc.

I've been eyeing a PPB Boxy since my little boy was still in my tummy, but I've been lagging on getting one b/c my hubby had to have knee surgery (same time as our son was born), so financial, I didn't want to burden ourselves. 190. As a mommy of 2 little girls ages 1 and 2 this bag would definitely come in handy! I have owned a petunia pickle bottom and LOVED it!

  191. I have 3 kids with A LOT OF STUFF that I put in a diaper bag and would be over the moon excited to win such a cute and storage savvy bag like this PPB diaper bag. I drool over them in stores and am keeping my fingers crossed I might get lucky enough to win one.

My little fella Mattias who is 5 months old wants desperately for his mother to be stylin' with this bag. Come on and honor the little guy's wish and award me the bag. Right now my diaper bag is the gift bags that were from his baby shower. When one wears out I use another one. Pretty pathetic, huh? Even the 5 month old knows it is sad. XOXO

  195. As any Mommy knows, its sometimes hard to feel stylish and carry diapers at the same time. However when you have a PPB bag over your shoulder, you instantly feel BEAUTIFUL even if you have a little baby spit up on your other shoulder. :)

  199. These bags seem so functional and stylish at the same time. It would be wonderful to own one of these to carry around all of the essentials for my soon-to-be-born baby!
