Beautiful Pictures, Beautiful Blog?

For the past couple of years now, I've been looking at all the beautiful pictures on other people's blogs and wishing that mine could look like that too. In other words, I had blog envy. My little point and shoot camera just wasn't stepping up to the plate. I longed for one of those fancy DSLR cameras I kept hearing about. The problem was that there were so many options that it was overwhelming. And the high price was definitely a factor that kept me from getting one. Then I had another baby and my envy turned to frustration. I wanted beautiful of my beautiful children!

Well...a couple of days ago I finally got one! I got a sweet deal on a used Nikon D40 and I'm so excited! I've been rifling the large manual and experimenting, trying to figure out what everything does. Here's a few shots that I've taken:





What do you think? I think it's definitely an improvement over our other camera, and I haven't even figured everything out yet. Next time, I'll include some shots of Bean. He wasn't in the mood to be photographed this time.
