I recently received the Fall 2008 copy of Hybrid Mom magazine. Started in 2007, this magazine seeks to reach out to moms from all different areas who have myriad personalities, responsibilities, interests and ideas. It's a magazine for every type of mom because every mom is different and we all have endless roles.
I loved how the magazine is divided in three different sections - Work, Play and Live. I enjoyed articles from all three sections, such as Designed by Moms, Wired Mom and Up on our Sandbox. I also really appreciated the fact that there are hardly any inserts in the magazine. One major pet peeve of mine is going through magazines and ripping out all the subscription cards and other inserts - I can't read the magazine until I've done this, so thanks to Hybrid Mom for making it easier on me. Another thing I hate about some magazines is all the ads. They all look the same and I never pay attention to them anyway. With Hybrid Mom however, I found the ads to be just as interesting as the articles. They were all ones I'd never seen before, they were bright and colorful, and they were for things I was actually interested in.
I'm looking forward to reading more of this magazine. And if you're not par of the awesome community at Hybrid Mom yet, you should be! Check it out here.
i hate postcards in magazines because they always make you open to the page they're on
