Thursday Thoughts

Sometimes a random thought will pop into my head and remain there for a number of days. These thoughts are always simple - it can be an observation, a useful tip, a feeling, an idea, a memory, or a quote I've just discovered. I usually don't do anything with these thoughts, but I don't want to forget them so I decided to create a place where I could share them. If you'd like to share your own thoughts, leave them in the comments, or email me and I may feature your thought in a future post.
Today's Thought:

Anyone have some tips on how to potty train? My son will sit on the potty, but refuses to take off his pants! Having him just wear a diaper doesn't work either - he whines for his pants. Perhaps he's not ready yet...

  1. I wish I could help. With my daughter, I just took her diaper away and let her run around naked. She got it in no time! I tried potty training my son Monday and Tuesday, the same way as my daughter, and he could have cared less! I decided I needed a break from cleaning up wet spots and I'll try again in a month. :-)

  2. there's so sense in forcing it, cause it just makes it worse for you stress wise. i don't even try until they're 3 when they can really grasp the point of peeing in the toilet.

  3. Can't help you there, Brooke won't go in the potty. She'll go in her underwear and it doesn't even bother her. We'll try again next week.

  4. Don't force Keenan if he doesn't like to remove his clothes yet. Let him do whatever he wants. If he just wants to sit down on his potty with clothes, then let it be. Sophia goes to potty whenever she wants. She started before her age 2. They like to imitate at their age so let Paul train Keenan. Good luck!
