The only thing better than San Diego Comic-Con is Free Comic Book Day. Put May 7th on your calendar right now, because that's the day where you can walk into any participating comic book store (there are many) and walk out with one or more comic books absolutely free! There's always a nice variety of titles available - my favorite ones of course, are the kid's comics. Depending on the store, you can usually take more than one comic book too. We like to go to all the stores in the area to make sure we get all the titles we want! Here's a link to the list of comics that are being given away and well as a store locator. Keep in mind that not all the stores get all the comics so it makes sense to go to a few different ones. Happy Free Comic Book Day!

San Diego Saturday
Welcome to San Diego Saturday! Updated as needed, this column is where I'll provide info about noteworthy events, attractions and fun things to do around town.

How neat! My husband would probably really enjoy getting a few free if we lived there. He was just daying yesterday that he doesn't even know where to go to get comic books around here....and you have stores dedicated to them there! :-)
